Ray commenced his career in Financial Services in 1983 as a tied agent with a major life insurance company. As the whole industry evolved and then became stringently regulated, being tied to one company became too constrained, and Ray was unable to offer best advice. It was time to begin a new chapter.
In 2001 Ray formed the firm that is Essex Financial Planners. The leased premises, which he now proudly owns, has become the base & HQ of the firm.
Ray has been a member of the well-known organisation Million Dollar Round Table for over 20 years, along with The Personal Finance Society and The Chartered Institute of Insurers. He has more than 400+ clients and advises and looks after small individual clients with ISA’s & Pensions, as well as Corporate and High Net Worth individuals also.
Ray meets with clients in their homes, offices or here in Westcliff on Sea, it is up to the individual as to which is most convenient for them.
When not working, Ray enjoys walking with his Wife & two cockapoos around this beautiful part of Essex. Ray is a long suffering season ticket holder at Spurs & plays golf weekly at his home club, Thorpe Hall.
